Silicone Rubber Heating Blanket

Silicone rubber heating blankets can improve heat transfer and speed up warm-up in confined areas that require controlled heating. Two circuit designs are available: etched foil or wire wound. When the length or width dimension is less than 10 inches (254 mm), heaters with etched foil design elements are available. All other heaters with length and width dimensions exceeding 10 inches (254 mm) use the wire wound element design. Effect of Watt Density: Gentle heating is best with 2.5 W/in 2. 5 W/in 2 is an excellent general purpose unit. 10 W/in 2 allows for fast warm-up and high temperatures; however, the temperature must be controlled because the safe maximum operating temperature limit of 450°F (232°C) may be exceeded.

We offer both wire wound and etched foil flexible silicone heaters. Wire wound silicone rubber heaters feature a resistive wire that is laminated to silicone rubber to ensure physical strength and even heat distribution. Etched foil silicone flexible heaters feature a chemically etched circuit that is laminated between thin silicone sheets to ensure fast heat transfer. Silicone rubber flexible heaters produce high output voltages, ensure even heat distribution, and provide better temperature control when integrated with a temperature control device.

Strong and durable, yet thin, lightweight and flexible the use of flexible heating jackets is limited only by imagination. With these heaters, heat can be placed where it is required. During application, these heaters improve transfer, speed warm-up and reduce wattage requirements.
