Types of N2 Heater

The N2 heaters produced by our company mainly include the following types

N2 Injection Heater System

N2 Injection Heater System

An "N2 Injection Heater System" refers to a system that heats nitrogen gas (N2) before injecting it into a process, typically used in industrial applications to provide a controlled, heated stream of inert gas for various purposes like diluting other gases, maintaining temperature within a process, or protecting sensitive materials from oxidation.

Nitrogen Generator for Heat Treating

Nitrogen Generator For Heat Treating

Nitrogen injection systems and regulator panels are critical components in a variety of industries, from food to oil and gas. These systems are used to precisely inject liquids or gases and regulate nitrogen flow. They play a vital role in important industrial processes.

Vertex Inline Nitrogen Gas Heater

Inline Nitrogen Gas Heater

Inline nitrogen gas heater is an energy-saving device for preheating the heating medium. It is installed before the heating medium equipment, directly heats the medium, makes it circulate and heat at high temperature, and finally achieves the purpose of energy saving.

Applications of N2 Heater

01/

Oil and gas
Nitrogen is heated and injected into crude oil and heavy oil to lower the viscosity or to reduce the density of the oil. The oil then flows more easily through the pipelines for efficient transport or refining. The oil and gas industry also uses heated nitrogen for pre-heating equipment and pipelines for safe work during repairs.

02/

Metal treatment
Industries that treat metals use N2 heaters in processes like tempering, annealing, brazing, and hardening. Nitrogen is heated and then put in a furnace or chamber to create a controlled atmosphere at the desired temperature.

03/

Semiconductor manufacturing
N2 heaters play a critical role in semiconductor manufacturing. They provide precise heating of nitrogen gas to a specific temperature in order to maintain optimal conditions during the production of wafers.

04/

Food production
Nitrogen is used to freeze food at very high speeds in food production. Food manufacturers use liquid nitrogen for fast freezing and preservation. Nitrogen keeps the food at low temperatures for preservation or storage. Some heaters can generate and maintain temperatures as low as -196°C which is the boiling point of liquid nitrogen.

05/

Laser cutting and welding
Laser cutting uses a focused beam of a laser to cut through metal plates with great precision. Nitrogen is used along with laser cutting to prevent oxidation or any other unwanted reactions during the cutting process.

06/

Pharmaceuticals
Heated nitrogen gas is used for inerting, drying applications and blanketing in the pharmaceutical industry. It prevents unwanted reactions from taking place by displacing oxygen in the presence of moisture.

Features of N2 Heater

Temperature control: Many N2 heaters feature temperature regulators or controls enabling users to set the required temperature accurately. This control guarantees consistent heating based on preferences or particular application requirements.

Thermostat: The thermostat plays an essential role in temperature regulation and control. It does so by monitoring and adjusting the temperatures to maintain desired levels.

Heating elements: The presence of electrical resistors as a heating element in the N2 heaters is primarily responsible for heating the nitrogen gas. The heaters use different types of heating elements depending on the make and model. However, all are aimed at providing sufficient heat to raise the nitrogen gas to the required temperature.

Ignition system: N2 heaters require an ignition system to start the combustion process, which, in turn, heats the nitrogen gas. Most heaters utilize spark ignition or flame ignition systems. These systems are reliable and safe enough to light up gas burners to facilitate combustion.

Safety features: Safety should come first in any gas-powered equipment or apparatus. N2 heaters are equipped with various safety features aimed at minimizing hazards and ensuring user safety. These features include flame failure devices, gas pressure regulators, ventilation systems, and emergency shut-off controls.

Heating capacity: N2 heaters have varying heating capacities depending on their make, model, and design. This feature enables users to select the heaters that can produce sufficient heat to raise nitrogen gas to the desired temperature based on application requirements.

Precautions for Using N2 Heater

When the N2 heater overheats, it will not automatically reset and turn off the N2 heater, while the alarm indicator light is on; At this point, it is necessary to check whether the temperature sensor and N2 heater components of the electric heating are normal; After checking, press the reset button and restart the N2 heater.

When the "Emergency Stop" button is pressed, it will immediately stop the operation of the heater system (including the heater and all fans). Please use the "Emergency Stop" button with caution.

When shutting down, it is important to ensure that each circuit in the system is not completely isolated from the main circulation system to avoid creating a vacuum in the circuit and damaging the equipment.

Slowly increase the temperature in the system by about 20 ℃ per hour to prevent thermal shock to the heating furnace coil, the interface between the heating furnace and pipeline, and refractory materials. At the same time, it is also convenient for operators to inspect the performance of instruments and controls during this period.

FAQ

Q: What is a N2 heater?

A: A N2 heater is an apparatus that produces heat using nitrogen gas. Since nitrogen gas is typically inert and does not support combustion, heaters with nitrogen gas generally use a different mechanism to generate heat. This can include electric coils, radiant panels, or other methods of heating the air or circulating water to provide warmth.

Q: What are the benefits of N2 heaters?

A: They help to prevent explosions and fire risks. They are also very helpful in medical applications like cryosurgery and have industrial applications like metal processing and lubricating oil production.

Q: What is the maintenance for N2 heaters?

A: Maintenance procedures will vary depending on the heater type. However, some general maintenance tips include checking and cleaning any air filters regularly; inspecting and cleaning the burner or heating element; checking the thermostat and controls for proper operation; inspecting the ignition system; and checking for leaks.

Q: How do I install a nitrogen heater?

A: Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions carefully. Ensure proper ventilation and electrical connections. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow all local regulations and codes.

Q: What is the difference between an electric nitrogen heater and a gas-fired nitrogen heater?

A: An electric nitrogen heater uses electrical energy to generate heat, while a gas-fired nitrogen heater uses a combustible gas as a fuel source.

Q: Are there any environmental concerns associated with nitrogen heaters?

A: Nitrogen heaters do not produce harmful emissions when operated correctly. However, it is important to dispose of any waste materials from the heater in an environmentally responsible manner.
