Sheathed Thermocouple
Offering a range of sheathed thermocouples that meet IEC 584 standards. These thermocouple temperature probes have durable construction and feature a mineral insulated flexible probe sheath that can be bent and formed to suit a variety of applications. The cable is PFA insulated to resist most oils, acids and liquids. The thermocouple features a single element insulated hot junction to reduce electrical interference and an M8 x 1.00mm fine thread pot seal rated to 200°C.
Mineral insulation is used to insulate the thermocouple wires from one another and from the metal probe sheath that surrounds them. The sheath is filled with a highly compacted magnesium oxide powder that prevents the conductors from making contact with one another other than at the fixed junction. The high density of the mineral powder enables the thermocouple to have a rapid response as it promotes a fast heat transfer between the conductor and the sheath. Mineral insulation also helps to protect the thermocouple wire from environmental damage including corrosion, prevents electrical interference and allows the cable to be flexible whilst maintaining its mechanical strength.

Hight Heat Resistance
This heater operates in environments as high as 180℃ since special polyimide films providing high heat resistance are used for insulators holding heating materials. (External Lead model can operate up to 200℃, dependent upon operating environments).

Homogeneous Temperature Distribution
A paper-thin sheet of heating material evenly placed on the heaterʼ s surface provides high heat efficiency resulting in less chance of uneven heating.

Ecologically Friendly
The terminal structure, taking advantage of the thinness of heater, is designed to be ecologically friendly adopting lead-free soldering between a lead wire and terminal.

Low Outgassing
The heater products very low rate of outgas as no adhesive is used to paste insulators (polyimide films). The heater is also suitable for environments disliking siloxanes as polyimide films do not produce siloxanes, which cause conduction failure.

Fast Temperature
A very thin insulator (polyimide film), 0.2mm thick (or thinner), results in a small heat capacity and thus enables a particularly fast temperature rise.
